Their famous crepe cakes are simply layers upon layers of the finest individually made crepes with a light hand whipped cream between each layer, topped with a sprinkling of powdered sugar.  Delish.

Thankfully I wasn’t limited to just tasting their classic cake but instead got to try three other delicious flavors as well. Shout out to Kaitlyn for treating my taste buds!  A individual slices runs anywhere between $8.00-$10.00 whereas a 6 inch classic Mille Crepe Cake recommended for 4-6 people costs $50.00 and a 9 inch classic cake recommended for 10-14 is $85.00.

This is Thyago Galvao and he is a master at selecting the best crepe cakes in Manhattan.  As soon as we walked in he welcomed us and asked us what we were looking for.  We explained that we wrote for Sleepless Sweets, a blog about the best sweets in the city that never sleeps, and he lit up! His pro tip is to eat these delicious cakes with a cup of hot tea or black coffee to cleanse the palate between bites.

The weather was chilly and Lady M was quite crowded so we decided to head home and enjoy these delicious cakes a comforting cup of Folgers to warm our bellies.  The three flavors we were able to try were the Marron Mille Crepe Cake, the Gateau au Chocolat Cake, and the Classic Crepe Cake.

Marron Mille Crepe Cake which is a signature creation which was a no less than twenty-layers of handmade crepe cake of chestnut-kissed pastry cream glory, topped with light and fluffy powdered sugar.  This is my personal favorite and was a surprise treat from Mr. Gogalvao!

Gateau au Chocolat Cake features alternating layers of dark chocolate sponge cake, and crushed walnuts folded into a velvety chocolate mousse and a pour of dark chocolate ganache to top it off.  This is perfect for the chocolate lover who enjoys a rich yet light chocolate treat.
