A Taste of Greece in New York City

Growing up I always loved yogurt, especially after coming home from school I would sit at the kitchen counter while my mom topped a bowl of homemade yogurt with fresh berries, almond slices, and a drizzle of honey.  The tartness combined with the sweet seasoned berries is still one of my favorite flavor combinations.  According to Self magazine, the average American eats 1.2 gallons of yogurt a year, but I can tell you for sure I ate a whole lot more. Desserts are everywhere and can range from a simple scoop of chocolate ice cream to a crazy new take on a kiwi chili puff pastry.  According to Restaurants.org, there are over 45,680 eating and drinking locations in New York City as of 2015.  This is a $43.3 billion industry employing 9% of the population in the state of New York.  These are huge and hard to grasp numbers, but the idea is that how do we find the best dessert places in such a highly respected and well-known city?  My goal is for Sleepless Sweets to become a place where I can give recommendations to some of my favorite places in the city to help you narrow down the tens of thousands of options to a few of the best!  So here are a few things to expect:
